Bond with my Alma Mater

Whenever I heard my seniors say, “this is the best time of your life” or “you are going to miss this”, I would scoff at them, never really trying to get to the bottom of what they meant.

Now after  having completed college, I can vouch for all the ‘universal truths’ that surround school life. Honestly, it took me long to realise that the affection and constant support that the school gave me was like none and more scarily, it’s gone. Sometimes, I feel how long an emotional journey it had been in the school- the friendship that I wouldn’t trade for any amount of wealth, the teachers whom we resented and blackmailed but always respected, the crazy experiences- the moments of epiphany, the hours of boredom and days of madness and how all of that has shaped a part of my personality today. I am cathartic as I write this.

Through the photos of my farewell day, I get a chance to live through all the 8 years of my life worthlessly thinking to get one more shot at it so that I could amend some things, but I guess, not having one more chance makes it all the more special.

My sincere thanks and gratitude to all the teachers, especially, Rashmi Ma’am, Princy Yohannan Ma’am and Aparna Ma’am for being the pole star for me. I try not to let you down.

And lastly, a message that goes out loud to my juniors-'While in school, never think of whar after school? Play your inning well' and remember the hardest thing to chase in life-
